The Past 10 Months in 12 Minutes
Welcome to the General Congress of Women
Honoring the 150th Anniversary of the Mother's Day Proclamation, the clarion call to convene a General Congress of Women, following the American Civil War, and the voice of the Suffragist movement that was well underway, we are proud to announce the The General Congress of Women.
Our initiative is simple.
Our goal is to amplify the impact of existing, or helping to create new circles that are added to the General Congress of Women network and support system as a Congress.
Whether you have an existing circle, or hoping to create one, your autonomy and passions remain yours. Yet when you add 4 Essential Elements and commit to them, we honor you as a Congress.
Member Congresses join us in contributing to the collective voice of grassroots women, arguably one of the most impactful and powerful forces of nature. And, we need one another.
We frame our work and our webinar series with the UN Women Beijing 12 Critical Areas of Concern. We host monthly calls to elevate and live into each of the Goals with experts in that field, and with an indigenous elder to hold sacred space and share indigenous wisdom. Members attend those calls for free.
