On July 24, 2004 The Joyful Child Foundation hosted it's 2nd Annual Children's Art Festival in honor of Samantha Runnion's life. 

Reverend Peggy Price passed on to Erin Runnion the tapestry that was once presented to her by The Be the Cause Foundation. She felt that Erin was the most deserving recipient of this tapestry for her strength of heart to take something so tragic and turn it into something to unite and uplift our nation's communities in the protection and  wonderment of all children.

The children who attended this event were asked to think about what being safe and brave meant to them and then to draw their thoughts on squares of fabric to help us create a tapestry that will be presented to Samantha's mom Erin Runnion.
